PARENTS THERAPY

You love your child—all of them if you're blessed with more than one—but parenting is hard work! And it's not just about them. It's mostly about you and how you're not being the parent you thought you would be, the parent you want to be.

Do Any of These Sound Familiar?

❤︎ You're anxious all the time. Even when you have a quiet moment, you don't feel calm or relaxed. It's as if you're always switched on and you've lost the off button.

❤︎ You shout at your children more often than you'd like to admit, and you don't really enjoy their company.

❤︎ You feel like you've lost yourself and don't know how to uncover the real you from underneath the mother you. You miss her.

❤︎ You know you "should" love your baby but you don't really feel much apart from tiredness, and you're afraid to tell anyone.

❤︎ Your teenager is driving you mad. You're constantly fighting and don't know how to rebuild the connection between you. You feel lost.

❤︎ Everyone else seems to have it together while you're drowning in piles of clothes, dirty dishes, school forms to sign, dentist appointments, work responsibilities... You're overwhelmed by the endless tasks that come with parenting and want it all to stop.

❤︎ Your child is struggling with their mental health and whilst you organise ongoing support for them, you've forgotten about yourself.

WHAT CHILDREN NEED MOST

What children need most are healthy, content parents. Unfortunately, no one tells us that when we become mothers, all the skeletons of our own childhood come out of the cupboard. In many ways, we relive our own childhood with our children, and what we did and didn't receive from our parents unconsciously creeps into our parenting.

More often than not, we respond to situations and our children's behavior in similar ways that our parents did—and we may not like it. Our children push our most sensitive buttons and uncover vulnerabilities we didn't even know we had. The result? We shout, we cry, we struggle to get out of bed in the morning or fall asleep at night.

THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAL

The good news is that this is our chance to heal old wounds and take care of ourselves. By doing this, we free not only ourselves but also our children. When you understand what makes parenting so difficult for you—because it's different for every mother—you'll be able to take care of yourself, parent in a way that aligns with who you are, and reconnect with your children with ease and love.

Building Your Village

We need a village not only to raise children but also to raise parents. Let me join your village and support you in your motherhood journey. It would be my honour.
